Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Inpatient Ward (D603) at the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC). As a key member of our senior nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading by example, and inspiring your colleagues to achieve excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as a clinical expert, providing specialist knowledge and advice to nurses and junior medical staff.
  • Work towards safe and timely discharge plans, identifying and addressing barriers to discharge.
  • Support the nursing team, promoting best clinical and professional practice.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Participate in recruitment, staff development reviews, and facilitate orientation and training programs.
  • Represent the ward at local and wider meetings.
