Job Title: Director of Nursing and Quality

This is a senior leadership role within the NHS, responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance on nursing and quality matters.

About the Role

The Director of Nursing and Quality will lead the development and implementation of nursing and quality strategies, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and treatment. The role will also involve working closely with other senior leaders to drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance on nursing and quality matters
  • Develop and implement nursing and quality strategies
  • Work closely with other senior leaders to drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement projects
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination
Requirements
  • Qualified nurse or midwife with a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • Relevant Master's degree or equivalent
  • Significant experience as a senior nurse or Midwife
  • Experience at board level (including as a deputy) or equivalent within a provider NHS trust/ foundation trust, ICS/CCG or an Arm's length body
