About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Primaire Consulting Ltd. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for covering the North East region and driving sales growth for our Control & Automation Components business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our wholesale customers, taking ownership of customer interactions and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our comprehensive range of Control & Automation Components, providing technical expertise to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Pre-Qualification: Pre-qualify requests for quotations, using your technical knowledge to assess customer needs and provide accurate quotes.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in the North East region, working closely with internal teams to achieve sales targets.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales pipeline, customer interactions, and sales performance.
  • CRM Maintenance: Ensure CRM records are up-to-date, including discounts, contacts, and carriage for all customers.
  • Cold Calling: Conduct regular cold calls to non-buying, turned down, and new customers to arrange initial meetings and drive sales growth.
  • Promotion: Promote product benefits and value statements through internal and external channels, including LinkedIn.
  • Marketing Events: Plan and execute marketing events throughout the financial year to drive sales growth and customer engagement.
  • Account Management: Take ownership of assigned accounts, monitoring quotes, orders, and delivery issues, and visiting customers regularly to stay informed about their business.
Requirements
  • Education: HNC/HND or higher in electrical or control engineering (desirable)
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Personality: Friendly, approachable, and enjoys speaking to people on the phone, with excellent communication skills.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to regulate time under stressful conditions.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in IT, especially with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to customers and internal stakeholders.
