Commercial Refurbishment Site Manager

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Site Supervisor within a prestigious commercial refurbishment firm.
The Role
This position is ideal for an individual who thrives under pressure and can effectively manage their own workload.
We seek a proactive self-starter who can communicate efficiently with clients, suppliers, and contractors at all levels.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in supervising or participating in interior fit-out and/or construction projects, demonstrating the ability to oversee all onsite activities daily, while reporting to the project manager or administrative team.
As our team expands to meet increasing demands, this role may involve travel, with hotel accommodations and subsistence provided during the week.
As a Site Manager, you will adopt a collaborative approach to cover all practical aspects of a project, aiming to exceed client expectations.
This will encompass:
Pre-contract:
Conducting surveys and assisting with the implementation of the Health & Safety plan.
Construction Phase:
Setting up and preparing the site
Completing daily site documentation (Inductions / Permits / Audits / Inspections)
Maintaining the project plan, scheduling, and verifying materials and labor to ensure seamless operations and optimal productivity, liaising with clients, authorities, and subcontractors as necessary.
Supervising subcontractors, managing contracts, controlling variations (including communicating implications to costs and timelines), and conducting progressive snagging (appraisal and application)Coordinating with the project manager and stakeholders
Participating in site meetings with project manager/client representatives
Comfortable overseeing various aspects of carpentry, partitioning, ceiling installation, and general construction skills as required by the project.
Key Skills RequiredProficient in PC usage
Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel (MS Project is desirable)
Strong communication skills
Written, verbal, and numerical proficiency
A qualification in Health and Safety site supervision along with site experience, SMSTS qualification
Completion of a First Aid course
Able to creatively solve problems and prioritize tasks

Minimum of 5 years of experience in building and/or interiors contracting.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or project management capacity.
