Job Title: Process Controls Maintenance Specialist

Job Type: Full-time, 12-month contract

Location: Northeast Lincolnshire

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Process Controls Maintenance Specialist to join our team on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading existing control systems and processes, ensuring seamless operation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the upkeep of process control systems and applications
  • Ensure data backup and recovery procedures are in place
  • Support Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams in developing and programming control sequences
  • Utilize industry standards for programming of DCS, ESD, and SCADA HMI packages
  • Examine and translate users' requirements and/or equipment-related process control queries into appropriate solutions
  • Develop and update standards for new or modified control system architecture
  • Ensure change management practices are followed when altering the control system
  • Provide input on new technologies and stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Develop recommendations for infrastructure improvement
  • Assist with operational implementation of process control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades
  • Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Controls (EC&I) or similar
  • Relevant experience in Process Control and Safety Shutdown hardware, software, and configuration
  • Emerson DeltaV experience essential
  • ABB System6 experience advantageous
  • Experience within a continuous manufacturing process environment (ideally a top-tier COMAH site) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving techniques using Process Control systems and Data Historian
  • Experience in communication systems such as OPC, Modbus, ethernet networking advantageous
