Post Completions Paralegal

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Post Completions Paralegal to join our Real Estate Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide first-class support in the post completions process, ensuring seamless transactions and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, and submit Land Registry applications, including proofreading and quality checking documents.
- Draft and submit Companies House charge registration applications.
- Calculate, draft, and submit SDLT returns for residential and commercial transactions, process payments, and deal with internal stakeholders and clients as required.
- Carry out Land Registry and Land Charges searches, including bankruptcy searches.
- Download Land Registry and Companies House documents.
- Serve notices on residential transactions, such as to landlords and insurers after charge/assignment.
- Deal with requisitions raised by the Land Registry and Companies House, liaising with other parties regarding issues raised during applications to the Land Registry and pursuant to requisitions.
- Respond to HMRC on SDLT return issues.
- Conduct legal research, advising fee earners on pre-submission and registration queries.
- Send documents requested by clients and other parties to other parties and arrange courier services as necessary.
- Perform other tasks as required to support fee earners and client service needs.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role with exposure to post completions processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment, managing your own workload.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Proactivity with the ability to anticipate problems and develop solutions.
- Strong attention to detail, even when working to tight deadlines.
- The ability to handle all communications and processes in an efficient and timely manner.
- The ability to navigate and use online platforms as necessary, including Land Registry, Companies House, and HMRC.
