Reed Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Transport Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation planning process, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing fleet profit and loss costings.
Key Responsibilities:- Transportation Planning: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost, quality, service, absence, and other relevant measures.
- Financial Management: Review and understand monthly profit and loss (P&L) accounts, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing measures to maximize vehicle utilization and availability.
- Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of 19 bulker/arctic drivers and a small team of office-based planning staff, ensuring KPIs and performance measures are achieved.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety culture, ensuring a zero-harm workplace, and ensure operational compliance with company tachograph policies and relevant legislation.
- Customer Service: Ensure day-to-day operations consistently meet the requirements of all individual customer contracts.
- Resource Allocation: Proactively plan and monitor resource allocation to ensure efficient operations.
- Experience: In-depth experience in transport operations, including knowledge of transport legislation.
- Leadership: Proven experience in supervising and managing a team.
- IT Literacy: Strong IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
