About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Manager to join our team at Gilbert Meher. As a key member of our management group, you will be responsible for the effective management of all aspects of our Hospital in York, ensuring the provision of high-quality standards of care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take overall responsibility for the management of the Hospital, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation.
  • Provide professional leadership and management support to staff, influencing their practices and attitudes.
  • Assume line management responsibilities for the senior management team and lead clinicians, providing operational support and direction.
  • Set and monitor budgets, capital, and revenue within the Hospital.
  • Provide induction, training, and support to staff on statutory responsibilities, aims, values, and high-performance standards.
  • Take on additional defined responsibilities, including investigations, disciplinary/grievance hearings, and management support to other services.
  • Develop and implement an annual business development plan to support the management and development of existing and new Hospital provision.
  • Lead the provision and management of on-call systems, including out-of-hours management support to the team.
  • Manage financial accounting systems, including organisation and people finances.
