Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Technical Services Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our MTS service, you will be responsible for the organisation and coordination of hazardous waste collections from customer facilities. Your expertise in chemistry and experience in industrial services/chemical waste industry will be essential in ensuring compliance with current UK legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate hazardous waste collections from customer facilities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to waste transfer sites for disposal.
- Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring all requirements are met on client sites and at waste receipt/disposal sites.
- Technically assess, segregate, label, and pack waste on client sites, with documentation compliant to current UK legislation.
- Compile and maintain lists of hazardous waste needing collection and disposal, producing required documentation and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Collection and loading waste onto transport vehicles, ensuring safe and suitable transportation, and safely driving company vehicles to hazardous waste sites for disposal.
Requirements
- Chemistry qualification (HNC or above)
- Experience in industrial services/chemical waste industry
- Positive attitude, good communication, and relationship-building skills
- Full driving license
Desirable Skills
- Trained or experienced in Confined Space Entry or Confined Space Rescue
- Trained or experienced in using High Pressure Water Jetting
- Trained or experienced ADR & FLT Driver with license
