We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join our team at SSE. As a key member of our Procurement and Commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key procurement and supply chain solutions across a range of projects and portfolios in our Networks Transmission business.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement and Commercial Manager (Supply Chain), you will support project teams and business unit stakeholders by developing strategic category plans, procurement strategies and contracts, and by providing robust pre and post contract management including supply chain engagement to support business goals and objectives.
This role would suit an experienced procurement / supply chain specialist who has a strong understanding of procurement processes, including strategy development and implementation, and has experience in managing supply chain activities, frameworks/contracts on significant projects or programmes of work.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies and category plans to support business objectives.
- Managing the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation and administration.
- Providing supply chain intelligence and insights to support business decision-making.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of procurement activities.
- Managing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced procurement professional who has a strong understanding of procurement processes and has experience in managing supply chain activities. If you have a Quantity Surveying degree / CIPS or equivalent and have experience in managing supply chain activities, frameworks/contracts on significant projects or programmes of work, we would love to hear from you.
