Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

The role of the Supply Chain Manager is crucial to the success of Europlan Group. As a key member of the Supply function, the ideal candidate will take ownership of relevant key projects, ensuring the delivery of tangible products to the client.

  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Progress projects within the team, taking full ownership for your own projects to ensure they are delivered as required.
  3. Provide timely status information to relevant members of the team, including any actions required to mitigate operational issues.
  4. Ensure the best price and delivery by benchmarking, interrogating costs, and negotiating with suppliers.
  5. Work proactively on methods to drive efficiency and reduce cost through supply chain optimisation.
  6. Maintain budgetary control of all projects within your field of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate work throughput, responding to and controlling change to ensure appropriate prioritization of tasks and adherence to internal SLAs.
  • Evaluate quality control / assurance at all stages of the supply chain, planning and overseeing on-site supervision of work in progress where necessary.
  • Interact directly with suppliers, partners, and inter-company divisions through conventional communications media, and when necessary, foreign travel.

Requirements:

  1. A track record of project buying within the construction industry.
  2. An understanding of technical drawings and export / import processes.
  3. Direct experience of managing domestic and overseas suppliers, ideally in the Far East, UK, and Eastern Europe.
  4. High-level computer literacy, with competence in spreadsheets, internal production planning software, and Microsoft Office applications.
