An exciting opportunity exists within our Finance team for an Assistant Accountant. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role will provide essential support to the hospital's management, facilitating effective and efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Generate timely and precise statistical and financial reports for various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Offer information and assistance to hospital management and staff as needed.
  • Support the monthly payroll process.
  • Ensure timely completion of bank reconciliations.
  • Provide assistance for hospital projects and initiatives under the guidance of the Finance Manager and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Act as a deputy for the Finance Manager when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Central Finance Function as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Qualified, part-qualified, or actively pursuing an accountancy qualification such as AAT.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Strong customer service skills aligned with Ramsay's Vision and Values.
