We are seeking an experienced Information Governance Specialist to join our team at NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit. As an Information Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on Information Governance topics, including data protection, confidentiality, and security.
- Support the development and implementation of Information Governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in the management and coordination of Information Governance projects, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on Information Governance best practices and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with Information Governance policies and procedures.
- Provide support and guidance to staff on Information Governance-related queries and issues.
- Relevant degree-level qualification in a field such as Information Governance, Data Protection, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Information Governance, data protection, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
