We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Manager to join our team at Milford Lodge Care Home. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the home.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in the efficient and effective operation of the home.
- Supervise and lead the staff team, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Engage in direct care on a day-to-day basis, promoting a hands-on approach to care.
- Report directly to the Home Manager or their appointed representative, performing all duties as outlined in the employment contract.
- In the absence of the Manager or Deputy Manager, ensure the home operates to high standards and meets the requirements of proprietors, Local Authorities, Social Services, and Fire Prevention Officers.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate staff training.
- Take responsibility for the medication system, including ordering, recording, administration, and disposal.
- Assist in maintaining optimal staffing levels and the correct staff mix.
- Must hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Experience in dementia care.
