We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Hazel Oak School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with special educational needs, providing a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher with learning activities and support the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Undertake activities as planned, within the classroom or with groups of pupils, to promote learning and engagement.
  • Support and supervise pupils beyond the classroom at breaktimes and participate in activities that promote social development.
  • Assist pupils with personal hygiene and healthcare/medical routines, and deal with minor accidents and administer first aid.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 2 qualification in education/childcare/child development/supporting teaching and learning, or other relevant qualification.
  • GCSE in English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children with learning difficulties.
  • Skilled in positive behaviour management and solution-focused thinking.
