About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Stagenhoe, a Brainkind specialist neurological care centre in Hertfordshire. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing expert care and support to individuals with neurological conditions or brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure optimal cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional recovery for our service users.
  • Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of service users, reporting any changes or concerns to senior colleagues.
  • Assist in maintaining morale and engagement among service users through effective communication and interaction.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of service user progress and experiences.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of rehabilitation goals and strategies, promoting choice and autonomy for service users.
  • Support the safe and smooth running of the service, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • S/NVQ /QCF Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (desirable)
  • Proven experience of working within a team and delivering care and support services
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Numeracy and literacy skills, with proficiency in IT systems and software
