Senior Communities and Events Officer

Aylesbury Town Council is seeking an experienced Senior Communities and Events Officer to play a key role in delivering the council's events programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a busy team, delivering high-profile live outdoor public events that engage with a diverse audience.

The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, management, and execution of 13 events, including the renowned Parklife weekend, and collaborate with 150 event partners throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Successfully manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of outdoor public events, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Engage with a range of stakeholders, including statutory agencies, contractors, sponsors, and Aylesbury's diverse communities.
  • Project management and coordination.
Benefits:
  • 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated if part-time).
  • Increase to 26 days annual leave after 5 years' service (pro-rated for part-time).
