Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Strategic Sourcing Lead to enhance our operations within the Supply Chain sector. This role is pivotal in sourcing essential external partners for indirect goods and services, ensuring that expenditures align with financial objectives while maximizing value and minimizing risks across all categories. The position is primarily based in Manchester, with a hybrid work model allowing for flexibility.
Your Team
Our Procurement team plays a crucial role in every acquisition made by the Group, including our recent brand expansions. We strive to secure high-quality suppliers and ensure optimal value for our investments, making us an integral part of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure high service standards and drive continuous improvement while mitigating risks;
- Develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure clarity in project definitions and secure necessary approvals before sourcing begins;
- Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to create and implement category strategies, policies, and processes, supporting procurement needs across various projects;
- Oversee commercial relationships with both new and existing suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and robust contracts that meet governance standards;
- Assist in formal sourcing and contract review processes, ensuring compliance with internal protocols including RFPs and due diligence;
- Stay informed about significant changes within the supply chain and communicate relevant updates to senior management;
- Conduct regular market research to identify alternative suppliers and best practices;
- Prepare monthly reports for the Head of Procurement to present to senior management.

- A proven track record of achieving cost reductions through effective negotiation and operational enhancements;

- Proficiency in Excel for analyzing spending data and creating cost models;
