Job Summary

The Chief Technology Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape for University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, architecting and delivering systems that work across organisational boundaries to deliver tangible improvements to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the implementation of the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust and North Bristol NHS Trust hospital groups technology strategy
  • Ensure the smooth running of trust digital services by leading the Technology Services function for both organisations
  • Take the lead on all matters related to IT, including the design and delivery of the strategic direction for the technology roadmap supporting the delivery of the Joint Clinical Strategy
  • Provide expert professional advice on technical matters
  • Be responsible for four key departments that form the Technology Services teams in both organisations: Data Networks, Service Infrastructure, Service Delivery and Cyber Security
