About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Respiratory Team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in assessing and treating patients with respiratory conditions, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized physiotherapy services to patients with respiratory conditions, including those requiring intensive care and respiratory support.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and provide treatment to patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Postgraduate qualification in respiratory physiotherapy or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 months of experience working in an intensive care unit (ITU) and respiratory ward setting.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory conditions, including pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment options.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
