Job Title: Social Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Support Worker to join our team at Whitdale Care Home in Whitburn.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team providing high-quality care and support to older adults in a residential care setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the care planning process for residents in consultation with other staff.
  • Ensure that care practice is non-discriminatory and that residents' personal beliefs and preferences are appropriately acknowledged.
  • Provide personal care, support, and emotional needs of older people requiring residential care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a service compatible with professional social work practice and within the policies, procedures, and standards set by the service.
Requirements:
  • SVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Experience of working with older people, preferably in a care home setting.
  • Registration with the SSSC (Successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered).
