Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Support Worker to join our team at Whitdale Care Home in Whitburn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the care planning process for residents in consultation with other staff.
  • Ensure that care practice is non-discriminatory and that residents' personal beliefs and preferences are appropriately acknowledged.
  • Provide personal care, support, and emotional needs of older people requiring residential care.
  • Work as part of a team on a rota basis, including weekends.
  • Provide a service compatible with professional social work practice and within the policies, procedures, and standards set by the service.
Requirements
  • SVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with older people, preferably in a care home setting.
  • Registration with the SSSC.
