The Role: In the capacity of Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the complete accounts payable operations, managing a team of 2-3 direct reports. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring the prompt and precise processing of invoices, fostering robust vendor relationships, and consistently refining processes and controls. You will report to a dynamic and esteemed Financial Controller who is driving positive transformations within an already established team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Accounts Payable team, offering guidance, training, and support.
- Supervise the comprehensive accounts payable process, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Guarantee timely invoice payments and compliance with payment terms.
- Manage month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Enhance and implement AP processes, policies, and controls.
- Address escalated inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team on cash flow forecasting and budget management.
- Stay informed about best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
About You: The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in accounts payable management and a proven history of leading successful teams. You should be detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
