About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operator to join our team at Hargreaves Industrial Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of sludge handling and movements within our Yorkshire Water contract based in Hull.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the control of the plant, adjusting running parameters as necessary
  • Conduct fault checks and ensure proactive compliance with Yorkshire Water policies and procedures
  • Operate Loadall telehandlers to load lorries with treated waste
  • Stock out waste into windrows and maintain windrows or store in barns
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards of work areas and plant
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks on mobile plant
  • Wash down mobile plant
  • Log product movements
  • Maintain standards on stocking pads and keep drains and gulleys clear
  • Perform additional tasks as trained and competent
Requirements
  • Good understanding of site safety standards
  • NPORS license for Loadall telehandler
  • Knowledge and experience in a similar role
  • Hold NPORS telehandler license
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good level of personal presentation and hygiene
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative
  • Good time-keeping and willingness to work overtime as necessary
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
