About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in the operation of our mobile plant and supporting plant processing operations within our modern technology processing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mobile plant and support plant processing operations to ensure efficient and safe production of sustainable fuel.
  • Perform daily maintenance and record keeping for mobile plant and plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Carry out housekeeping activities in all areas of the site to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist in the operation of fixed process plant under the direction of the Foreman and Site Manager.
  • Conduct regular inspections of site infrastructure to identify and report any safety or environmental issues.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic in all internal areas to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with BWS and external hauliers to ensure timely dispatch of materials from site.
  • Liaise with the Foreman to ensure timely supply of process consumables to minimize process downtime and maximize throughput.
  • Take due care for the safety of self and others in accordance with health and safety legislation, company procedure, and toolbox talks.
  • Attend site safety meetings and toolbox talks as required.
Requirements
  • Experience operating mobile plant and fixed plant in a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Knowledge of plant operations and health and safety issues.
  • Good customer service skills and organizational skills.
