About the Role

The Principal Industry Specialist in Retail Banking, Europe, leads the Retail Banking consulting for Europe (inc. UK) within the Banking and Capital Markets (BCM) Industry Vertical Team (IVT), in collaboration with the Payment IVT. Reporting to the Global BCM Industry Principal Consultant, this role involves:

  • Providing advisory services to clients to support their strategic goals and position Endava as a go-to partner for execution
  • Offering opinions on the industry and providing thought leadership
  • Offering deep industry insights to inform client delivery and brief the analyst community
  • Engaging in the bid process to develop compelling proposals for clients
  • Providing strategic advice to senior management on business operations and goals
  • Assisting in developing long-term visions for the industry and Endava's positioning
  • Supporting the sales team with industry-specific knowledge
  • Developing client relationships and defining strategies for improved business performance
  • Conducting research to identify market opportunities and develop marketing strategies
  • Contributing to building accelerators like proofs of concept and architecture blueprints
  • Sharing industry knowledge within the organization and contributing to the BCM community
  • Suggesting and establishing partnerships with third parties

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Financial Services and Banking in a technology leadership role
  • Strong sector expertise in Retail Banking, including Core Banking functions, Customer Digital Experience, Onboarding, etc.
  • Ability to speak to industry trends, key challenges, and major players' strategies
  • Experience in implementing Core Banking Platforms and Banking as a Service
  • Exceptional client interaction skills, collaborative work style, and ability to influence
  • Experience in leading global teams and developing business and technology strategies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide valuable insights to clients
  • Proven track record in building professional networks and fostering innovation
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying competitive in the workplace
