About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Build Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Build Engineer, you will be responsible for building and testing electrical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying and implementing solutions to mechanical faults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and test electrical systems to specification and safety standards
  • Liaise with stakeholders to review technical drawings and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical projects
  • Identify and implement solutions to mechanical faults
  • Travel to client sites for installation of robotic automation systems
Requirements
  • Qualified to HNC in a mechanical-focused course or equivalent level of experience
  • Good level of machining skills, including milling machines and lathes
  • Drilling, tapping, and grinding skills, alongside general mechanical workshop skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in both written and verbal English
  • Confident in reading and understanding technical electrical drawings
  • Willingness to rapidly learn new technology
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Good understanding of industrial systems, particularly safety systems
  • Able to plan workload and complete tasks autonomously
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Working knowledge and appreciation for all elements of health and safety
