About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Build Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Build Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing electromechanical automation systems to specification and in line with required safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build electromechanical automation systems to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical projects
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure systems meet safety and performance standards
  • Identify and implement solutions to mechanical faults and issues
  • Travel to client sites to install and commission automation systems
Requirements
  • Qualified to HNC in a mechanical-focused course or equivalent level of experience
  • Good level of machining skills using milling machines and lathes
  • Drilling, tapping, and grinding skills alongside general mechanical workshop skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in both written and verbal English
  • Confident in reading and understanding technical electrical drawings
  • Willingness, interest, and ability to rapidly learn new technology
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Able to plan workload and complete tasks autonomously
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Working knowledge and appreciation for all elements of health and safety
