About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Norit Activated Carbon. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in the Northern UK and Ireland territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a sales territory in the Northern part of the UK and Ireland, generating target levels of revenue, volume, margins, and days outstanding from customer base.
  • Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve desired results, including identifying new market opportunities and target builds.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate complex sales contracts with customers, educating them on new products and product enhancements.
  • Lead Norit's efforts to establish levels of excellence in sales and distributor management and customer service.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to management in setting strategic initiatives and programs to achieve corporate strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years external sales experience, preferably in the activated carbon industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Norit's products and applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and revenue in a sales leadership role.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to analyze data to inform sales strategies.
