We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Support Worker to join our team at Expect Limited.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to a 75-year-old gentleman with a learning disability, who enjoys spending time in the community and traveling on public transport.

The gentleman requires assistance with daily tasks and has a catheter and type 2 diabetes, which is managed by regular visits from district nurses and a diabetes nurse.

As a Male Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the gentleman's safety and well-being, while also promoting his independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the gentleman in the community
  • Assist with daily tasks, including personal care and medication management
  • Accompany the gentleman on public transport and engage in activities he enjoys
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the gentleman's medical needs are met

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
  • Ability to provide one-to-one support and promote independence
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing needs
