Key Responsibilities
The Reporting & Performance (R&P) division is tasked with delivering superior, technology-driven analyses and reporting to Oaktree's investors and portfolio management teams worldwide. The Vice President will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm's Global Private Credit strategies.
The core responsibilities encompass:
Analysis & Reporting- Generate comprehensive analyses and reports concerning portfolios and positions across various strategies, both on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis;
- Take the lead on quantitative inquiries related to strategic initiatives and capital raising efforts, utilizing existing reports and crafting tailored analyses for efficient outcomes;
- Master the internal data systems to extract and manipulate data effectively, ensuring prompt responses to data requests;
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned strategies, providing valuable insights to organizational partners.
- Employ Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to manage extensive data sets and develop standardized reports or dashboards;
- Spearhead the adoption of process improvements, automated reporting, and technology systems to enhance investor reporting and provide dynamic performance metrics;
- Utilize reporting and systems expertise to gather and document implementation requirements.
- Partner with various organizational teams to enhance R&P deliverables, including Investment Management, Product Specialists, Investor Relations, Marketing, Accounting, IT, and Compliance;
- Continuously refine the strategy and portfolio reporting framework in response to evolving investor needs and industry developments;
- Identify and implement tactical projects at both team and strategy levels through collaboration with key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in an institutional investment management firm, investment banking, or related financial services sector;
- Profound understanding of alternative investments, including familiarity with performance reporting, risk metrics, and portfolio characteristics;
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI);
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration;
- Basic knowledge of project management tools such as Jira and Confluence is advantageous;
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles is beneficial.

Education
A Bachelor's degree is required. CFA and/or ACA credentials are a plus.
