Import & Export Coordinator Role

We are seeking an experienced Import & Export Coordinator to join our client's team in Crawley, West Sussex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import freight forwarding and be able to work effectively in a multi-role environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accurate completion of customs procedures, meeting both internal and external deadlines.
  2. Generate invoices for clients, detailing shipment-related charges.
  3. Obtain and communicate necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met.
  4. Maintain up-to-date documentation, ensuring it is loaded correctly and notify the Team Leader or Manager of any issues.
  5. Proactively manage daily duties, supporting the team during times of absence or holidays.
  6. Liaise with UK importers and shippers throughout the delivery process.
  7. Share knowledge within the team and continually improve processes.
  8. Liaise with overseas partners to arrange collections and deliveries.
  9. Organize and plan flight schedules.

Requirements:

  1. A Level 2 in English & Maths.
  2. Previous experience in importing and exporting.
  3. Ability to work under pressure with a strong eye for detail.
  4. Proficient in using MS Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  5. A dedication to providing excellent customer service and strong organizational skills.
  6. Good working knowledge and understanding of CDS, CHIEF & Sequoia, terms and endorsements of HAWB's, Home Use / T1's / NCTS, and incoterms and associated freight rate calculations, profiles, and rates.
