About the Role

Mackinnon Bruce International, a leading executive search consultancy, is partnering with a nationally recognized consultancy to find a Senior Ecologist to join their growing team in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Ecologist to deliver ecological solutions and contribute to the success of our client's Ecology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecology, excellent survey skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality ecological solutions and surveys, including bat surveys, mammal surveys, and phase 1 habitat surveys.
  • Develop and implement planning and marine applications.
  • Meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Conduct field surveys and assessments, and analyze data to inform project decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior directors and support functions to identify business development opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff within the team.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualifications in an ecological-related subject.
  • CIEEM qualification or similar.
  • Full driving license.
  • Proficiency in field software applications, including GIS and MS Office.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UK and Irish legislation and policies.
