Senior Ecologist Opportunity

Mackinnon Bruce International, a leading executive search consultancy, is partnering with a renowned consultancy to find a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join their expanding team in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a nationally recognized consultancy operating in the UK and Ireland across the Water & Environment, Transportation & Infrastructure markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecology, with experience in conducting surveys, including bat surveys, mammal surveys, and phase 1 habitat surveys. They will also have the ability to create planning and marine applications, meet project deadlines, and work closely with senior directors and support functions.

The successful candidate will have a full driving license, proficiency in field software applications, including GIS and MS Office, and a demonstrable knowledge of current UK and Irish legislation and policies.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, offering a great work-life balance and the chance to work on a wide variety of projects across the ecology practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys and assessments
  • Research and analysis of projects
  • Creation of planning and marine applications
  • Meet project deadlines and client expectations
  • Mentor and develop junior staff

Requirements:
