We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our expanding team at Poundland. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Accounts Payable Team Leader and other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
The role is hybrid, with a mix of office and remote work, allowing for a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile supplier statements to the finance system
- Process weekly sensitive accounts statements
- Ensure invoices are accurately processed and paid
- Manage and resolve supplier queries and issues
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices
- Monitor and action overdue accounts
- Maintain close working relationships with suppliers and internal departments
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable department
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls
- Good working knowledge of stock procedures and reporting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
