Commercial Finance Business Partner Opportunity

Change Financial Services is partnering with a leading client to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner to their team in Edinburgh.

This is an exciting time for the business, as they look to add a commercially-minded business partner to their team to take a lead in engaging with the executive and head of finance around key cost movers and drivers as they evolve the cost base.

The role will involve working closely with teams in the business, focusing on products, and playing an active part in discussions on spend, benefit realisation, and ongoing performance trending. A commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders is key.

  • Creation of monthly commentary and narrative, engaging with the business to determine key themes
  • Taking a lead role in budget setting and wider planning activity for business areas
  • Working closely with the business to assess new business cases
  • Critical insight to spend versus cost analysis against a range of products
  • Engagement with a wide range of product SMEs across the business

Applicants will be able to show a level of commercial awareness in past roles and discuss this at interview. Past business partnering experience is key, as well as experience within the planning cycle, budget setting, and review.

Financial services experience, preferably in a blue-chip environment, where you can demonstrate confidence with numbers when presenting and partnering with non-finance professionals.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + strong benefits package
