Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Change Recruitment is partnering with a leading Financial Services client to recruit a Finance Business Partner to their team in Edinburgh. Our client is a market leader in a range of products which it offers to customers and is continuing to grow its core client base.

The role will involve working closely with teams in the business, focusing on products and internal departments such as risk, finance, and wider corporate services and functions. The post will play an active part in discussions on spend, benefit realisation, and ongoing performance trending, requiring a commercial awareness and approach to working with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly reporting packs covering income, product performance, variance to budgets, and analysis of key metrics
  • Creation of monthly commentary and narrative, engaging with the business to determine key themes
  • Taking a lead role in budget setting and wider planning activity for business areas
  • Working closely with the business to assess new business cases
  • Critical insight to spend versus cost analysis against a range of products
  • Taking a lead role in preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasts
  • Comfortable reviewing balance sheet metrics
  • Engagement with a wide range of product SMEs across the business

Applicants will be able to demonstrate a level of commercial awareness in past roles and discuss this at interview. Past business partnering experience is key, particularly within the planning cycle, budget setting, and review. This experience can come from a range of backgrounds, including financial services and blue-chip companies, where you can show confidence with numbers when presenting and partnering non-finance professionals.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + strong benefits package
