Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clinical Research Nurse - Paediatric to join our dynamic team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality research and clinical care for children and young people participating in various therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the development and implementation of robust systems and processes to ensure the highest standards of clinical care and research governance.
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators and other members of the multidisciplinary team to enable the creation of seamless pathways for patients participating in research trials/studies.
- Provide holistic nursing care to children and young people, and their families, on existing and new clinical trials, and contribute to the assessment and management of their care pathways.
- Lead on study set-up activities, screening, recruiting, educating, and monitoring children and young people in studies, as well as the collation and documentation of study data.
Requirements:
- Sound clinical skills and experience in managing complex needs patients and recognizing the deteriorating child.
- Previous research experience is advantageous, but comprehensive research training will be provided as part of the induction programme.
- Ability to work flexibly to accommodate patient visits and assessments outside of normal working hours.
