Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and supervise staff to ensure professional standards and best practice.
  • Ensure safeguarding adults at risk is a fundamental element of this job and that principles are embedded in all procedures, practices, professional advice, decisions, and support.
  • Work alongside and when required deputise for the team manager to create a supportive team environment, enabling staff to work with individuals to promote and support independence, choice, and control with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
  • Conduct individual complex assessments and safeguarding enquiries to establish clear, relevant, proportionate, and appropriate options for the individual to meet their identified outcomes.
  • Work in partnership with adults, their families, carers, and advocates, colleagues, and external organisations to provide appropriate, professional social work support for vulnerable older people, adults with physical and sensory impairment or learning disability, and carers.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years UK experience working in adult social care as a social worker.
  • Experience of supervising or mentoring social worker staff.
  • Experience of complex case work.
