Position Summary

The Technical Service Specialist will play a vital role within Ecolab's Life Science Division. This position involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of state-of-the-art bio-decontamination systems utilized in healthcare and pharmaceutical settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to service requests for customer equipment, adhering to established company protocols.
  • Coordinate daily with the Service Department to outline the work schedule.
  • Execute all contract servicing as planned, ensuring the most efficient work processes are followed.
  • Implement product service, repair, and installation procedures as specified.
  • Conduct installations in compliance with relevant British and European Standards, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Document all service activities electronically or on the designated Service Report, obtaining customer approval upon completion.
  • Submit service report forms to the head office daily to facilitate invoicing.
  • Provide accurate weekly reports detailing hours worked and expenses incurred in line with company guidelines.
  • Be prepared to travel throughout the UK or internationally as required.
  • Act as a representative of Ecolab, maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid UK driving license and passport is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in servicing and maintaining electro-mechanical systems, along with strong diagnostic capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are crucial, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with international distributors and clients.
  • A solid foundation in electro-mechanical and electronic principles, ideally holding an HND/HNC qualification or equivalent.

Working Hours

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
