RESPONSIBILITIES
The Weatherford Software Team at East Leake is a diverse and inclusive group of technically adept individuals developing cutting-edge software that manages the entire geophysical data lifecycle, from acquisition through hardware, processing, interpretation, and client delivery. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Automation Tester to elevate the quality of our applications that deliver geophysical data from rig sites to data centers and client offices. You will be tasked with designing and implementing automated testing protocols.
You will collaborate closely with a small yet rapidly growing department that plays a pivotal role within our global operations. We develop advanced software that manages the complete geophysical data lifecycle, from acquisition via hardware to processing, interpretation, and ultimately client delivery. We are also transitioning our systems from desktop applications to cloud-based solutions.
In addition to crafting automated tests, you will share responsibilities with existing DevOps Engineers in providing Azure DevOps support to the development team.
This is a dynamic and varied opportunity to influence the testing strategy within the department. You will engage in a range of innovative projects utilizing the latest technologies and will be encouraged to discover and leverage new technologies for the enhancement of the software being developed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and analyze automated tests for web and desktop applications.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps release pipelines.
- Track and report defects.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate bug resolutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to refine the automation strategy.
- Work cooperatively with cross-functional teams to develop a robust understanding of testing objectives to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide Azure DevOps support to the East Leake development team.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in test automation with familiarity in frameworks such as Selenium or WinAppDriver.
- Strong knowledge of C# or demonstrated experience in similar programming languages with a willingness to learn.
- Awareness of current and emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in automated testing.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or transferable skills from a similar technology.
- Proven ability to learn swiftly and comprehend complex subject matter.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology would be advantageous.
