About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our award-winning team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 9,000 employees across our care home sites.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify payroll data from various sources.
- Review payroll reports meticulously and communicate any necessary changes or corrections promptly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee, HMRC, and third-party inquiries related to payroll.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of UK payroll legislation, including HMRC regulations and National Minimum Wage requirements.
- Generate essential payroll reports for operational and executive teams as needed.
- Provide clear and concise information to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy and up-to-date status of employee records.
- Maintain the integrity of financial systems through reconciliations and journal postings.
About You
To excel in this position, you will embody our core values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. We are looking for an individual with:
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in payroll processing.
- Ideally, experience processing payroll within the care industry or a multi-site organization.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
