The Role

As a Carpentry Specialist, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating all work within the bay, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our operations. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance on Carpentry shop machinery, adhering to Air Publications guidelines.
  • Submitting demands for stores in accordance with the bay's tasks, controlling the use and serviceability of all tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring the completeness and quality of all manufacture and repair tasks, following instructions, drawings, and relevant Publications.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace, disposing of waste materials properly.

This role is part-time, with hours of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in carpentry and at this level.
  • Operating machinery, such as Thicknesser and plainer, crosscut, and Morticer.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum City and Guilds carpentry or NVQ level 2 in carpentry.
  • H&S certificate in the use of machinery or similar certification.

Security Clearance:

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance.
