About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at RAF Valley. As a key member of our site team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all work within the bay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance on Carpentry shop machinery as detailed in Air Publications.
  • Submit demands for stores in accordance with the bays' tasks. Controlling the use and serviceability of all tools and equipment used by them.
  • Ensure the completeness and quality of all manufacture and repair tasks undertaken by instruction, drawings, and relevant Publications.
  • Ensure that the materials used in the manufacturing and repair of components are controlled in accordance with Air Publications. And maintaining a clean and tidy workplace and that all waste materials are disposed of and not allowed to accumulate.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in this type of work and at this level.
  • Operating machinery i.e., Thicknesser and plainer as an example, crosscut, and Morticer.
  • Min City and Guilds carpentry or NVQ level 2 in carpentry Desirable.
  • H&S certificate in the use of machinery or a similar certification or time bound experience.

Security Clearance

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance.
