The Role
The CRC Officer position is both demanding and diverse, requiring strong organizational abilities and a professional telephone demeanor. You will interact with clients, internal teams, and external organizations to offer assistance during emergencies. Exceptional communication skills are essential as you will be utilizing various computer systems, radios, and alarm devices.
Our primary operational areas include:
- Monitoring of surveillance systems
- Coordinating responses to emergency alarm services
- Handling after-hours inquiries from the public and external entities.
You will be stationed in a Control Room for all your shifts (remote work is not an option for this role).
Daily Responsibilities
Your work will be conducted at our main offices, requiring you to adhere to a fixed shift schedule that includes early, late, and night shifts.

Shift and Rota Structure
CRC Officers work 34 hours per week on a predetermined shift pattern that encompasses evenings, weekends, and public holidays. The shift schedule consists of 2 early shifts, 2 late shifts, and 2 night shifts, followed by 4 days off. This cycle repeats for 10 weeks, after which a flexible fortnight occurs where you will need to be adaptable and cover 9 assigned shifts over a 14-day span. These shifts will vary between early, late, and night depending on the needs for leave and absence coverage.
About You
You will be proactive, dependable, and possess at least 5 GCSEs or an NVQ Level 3, along with 2 years of relevant experience. You will collaborate within a dynamic small team, addressing various emergency situations that arise during your shifts, and will need to prioritize effectively while working alongside your shift partner to identify optimal solutions.
Experience in public interaction and proficiency in operating Windows-based software is crucial. A high level of focus is necessary during shifts to swiftly evaluate and manage a range of issues as they arise.
While having a Public Space CCTV Surveillance SIA license is preferred, we encourage all qualified candidates to apply regardless of this requirement.
An enhanced DBS Disclosure and Police Vetting Clearance will be mandatory for this position.
