## Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

## Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a SEND Secondary School in South Liverpool. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of students with complex needs.

## Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with SEND
* Provide specialist support to students with moderate, severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties, as well as those with behavioral, social, communication, sensory, or physical disabilities
* Implement planned learning activities as agreed with the class teacher
* Work with students on their therapy or care programs
* Attend to students' personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene, dressing, and eating

## Requirements

* Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* High standard of Literacy and Numeracy
* Experience working in an SEND setting is desirable
* Understanding of Educational Health Care Plans
* Willingness to attend training to improve skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Our client is a SEND Secondary School in South Liverpool that supports students from across the Liverpool City Region. The school has specialist ASD status and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for students with complex needs.
