Position Overview

We are seeking an Insurance Underwriting Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at Next Employment Ltd. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with prior internship experience in underwriting or administrative support, looking to advance their careers in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with underwriters to gain insights into the underwriting process and the management of business portfolios.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of front sheets.
  • Manage Guidewire account entries, including monitoring EPI movements.
  • Handle the receipt, cleansing, and processing of premium and risk bordereaux.
  • Conduct gap analysis on bordereaux to identify required fields.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and brokers, following up on outstanding information.
  • Generate reports using Power BI and maintain Underwriter logs, including submissions, bound accounts, and gross written premium (GWP).
  • Organize documentation in ImageRight, Guidewire, and central account files for each team.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Finance, and the Underwriting team to address any underwriting and account-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree (or equivalent) with relevant exposure to the insurance industry, gained through internships or temporary positions. Strong numerical skills and proficiency in Excel are essential. Candidates should have at least six months of practical experience, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative mindset is crucial, along with the ability to work independently.
