About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Acute Medicine to join our team at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical, educational, and managerial services to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct clinical care to patients, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to provide a high-quality, well-led service.
  • Assess patients and develop rapid assessment triage strategies to ensure early investigations and disposition.
  • Provide consultant cover in ward rounds, oversight of assessment areas, and multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Engage fully with the care of patients outside the department and provide a prompt opinion on request from consultant colleagues in other specialties.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental objectives, ensuring the highest quality clinical care and improving the patient experience.
