About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Application Operations Engineer to join our team at Leidos, a global leader in information technology, engineering, and science. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a suite of applications across multiple domains supporting Geospatial capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Core Services and Agile change teams to ensure the baseline is maintained and operational users have the most up-to-date applications to meet mission requirements.
  • Provide technical support to clients as needed and relay information to development teams for ongoing maintenance and update needs.
  • Integrate with IT Asset Management (ITAM) and obsolescence teams to provide vendor information on software lifecycles and maintenance agreements.
  • Generate ideas for software innovation based on market trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in application engineering and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as an Application Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience in deploying, optimizing, and maintaining software.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as an Application Engineer.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server Environments, from Server 2003 – 2019, including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO from design to implementation and support.
