Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged within the Division of Medicine. We are seeking a highly effective communicator who is innovative, optimistic, and driven to join our team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

We aim to recruit a well-organized administrative professional to deliver comprehensive and efficient secretarial support to the Senior Leadership Team within the Division.

Candidates should possess a flexible work ethic, demonstrating the ability to operate with minimal oversight, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage complex or sensitive matters. A solid understanding of information governance and confidentiality protocols, along with knowledge of records management practices, are critical components of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates must exhibit outstanding communication, organizational, and collaborative skills, with experience in supporting and motivating others in a fast-paced office or customer service setting.

The successful candidate will need to have prior experience in a secretarial capacity, the capability to produce concise meeting minutes, and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in the use of databases. A qualification in English Language at GCSE level or its equivalent is also required.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Proven recent experience in a secretarial or administrative role
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with office procedures
  • Experience in taking and transcribing meeting minutes
  • Understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role within a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes

Qualifications and Training

  • A good standard of education or equivalent experience

  • GCSE English Language - minimum Grade C or equivalent
  • Trained loggist or willingness to complete loggist training
